It's been so quiet! Anything new going on in your worlds?
I've had a crazy few days. My brother had his baby on Monday night, DH left for Nigeria on Tuesday morning, and my BFF had her baby early this morning. I'm overflowing with baby love.
I hope all is well!
Re: It's QUIET! What's new?
So many babies, Millie! That's exciting!
I have been slammed with work so I haven't been nesting as much as I'd like to. I'm hosting a jewelry party at my house on Friday night for all of the ladies in my life and I am really excited for some reason! I am pulling out the pretty serving dishes and fancy wine glasses that we got for our wedding. I should take pictures and share with you all.
Unrelated but I love St. Patrick's Day (maybe it's my Irish roots)! So I brought green frosted cupcakes to work today and am making corned beef and cabbage tonight.
Definitely show pictures of your jewelry party! And I really wish I had a green cupcake for breakfast right now! ~haha~
MY BLOG!
That is very exciting about all the babies, Millie!
We've just been super busy. DH is juggling his grad school classes with his tax accounting internship (which is getting crazy now with tax season).
And I'm about halfway through my yoga challenge--just two more weeks to go. Basically, I go to work, go to yoga, go home, eat dinner, blog about yoga, and pass out. Not much time left, even for knitting
Physically, though, I am feeling really good--stronger, leaner, and with fewer breakouts.

I has been quiet on here lately.
Nothing "new" with me, I suppose.
DH is at a St. Patrick's Day parade right now and it's 63 degrees right now (with a high of 77) so I'm super jealous. I just keep reminding myself that there are a lot of drunks there and I wouldn't have fun.
SIL is having a baby soon, maybe even today I guess. The baby is laying sideways so they're doing the thing where they try to move him while he's still in there. I guess it's a last ditch effort before c-section. They said sometimes it actually starts the labor, so we'll see what happens.
Other SIL is having a baby in the summer and she finds out the gender in a couple of weeks. Why is it so incredibly common for siblings to have kids at the same time? Anyway, she insists that it must be a girl (they have 2 boys already) so of course, it makes me want her to have a boy.
I guess I'm just mean.
Next week, DH and I are going to FL for my sister's destination wedding. I absolutely HATE destination weddings. Ugh, it's such a pain. This is our 2nd one in 2 years and I promise I'll never go to another one again. All of our siblings are married, so I don't feel like we need to do any others if one comes up... unless it's somewhere awesome that we would actually want to go, haha
Crazy busy! It's contest season for Sweet Adelines. I sing in a competing chorus AND quartet, so twice as crazy for me...but I LOVE it.
I also had a bone and soft tissue graft as the next step to the repairs from busting out my front teeth last year. AWESOME!!! If you ever have to have one, go ahead and take the anesthesia...seriously. It's not any worse in time or pain than what I have had to deal with so far...but the NOISES are not nice. Kind of like shoveling over gravel. I wanted to rip all the appliances out and inquire what they could POSSIBLY be doing in the roof of my mouth to make that noise. At the very least, take headphones and hard rock on your ipod.
Weather is getting warm today, up to 80 tomorrow but then back down to 60's for the weekend. Gotta love spring in Virginia.
Happy St. Pat's Day everyone!
Not much, this is spring break week for me (classes only, work plugs on). Tomorrow is the foundation breakfast my dept is hosting, and I have a lot of work to get that ready tomorrow. This weekend I need to concentrate on homework and my textiles midterm.
Here's something new. DH grated a bar of soap for me last week; so, on Monday, I made homemade laundry detergent. So far, so good. We'll see how we feel in a month.
Woo! Good for you! I've been making mine and love it!
MY BLOG!
Ah! My BFF's hubby just send me a picture! My brother brought his baby to meet BFF's baby! And now I'm crying at work.
MY BLOG!
Not too much "new" here, either. As I'm sure you all have seen, we got the house listed for sale as of late Tuesday night. I'm hoping beyond hope that we can sell, make a little money, and do it this year! I'm so glad that the hardest parts of the work are done; we have a tiny amount of organizing left to do in the basement, but its nothing that is required. It hasn't even been a week yet and I'm already antsy. hehe
Work is sooo busy right now. We're normally slower from December - March, but this year that didn't happen. Its good, but also means I'm working a ton of ot that I don't necessarily want to, but the money is also nice. When I left work this past Saturday I had 99 hours on that 2 week pay period. Holy poo!
I'm going to go home and go for a walk w/ H tonight b/c its almost 70, sunny, and just gorgeous here!
Nothing super new here. Work has been straight drama, I get home and tend to Liam and then go to bed (with Liam).
I seriously don't know how I'm still standing up and have been an emotional mess all week. I'm so tired, feeling so guilty about being a working mom, and feel like I'm reaching a breaking point. DH has been great and is sending me out of the house on Saturday morning so I can get a break from life...but I feel guilty about not spending that time with Liam since I'm at work all week and really only get to see him for any length of time on the weekends.
I'm trying really hard to be optimistic, but it is hard when my boss has thrown me under the bus in front of our entire team repeatedly in the last few weeks (to cover up for things she didn't do/review when I had completed things as she had asked for them in the timeframe she asked for them) and is confusing tenure with seniority (and knowledge) and creating a huge amount of animosity among the people on my team.
So...needless to say, I'm beyond frustrated...which doesn't help when I'm exhausted and now I think I'm getting sick.
Sorry...that turned into a vent.

I am so sorry...unfortunately I can relate all too often. This is my every.single.day where I work. And I've been putting up w/ it for over 11 years. Not b/c I like the abuse. Its so hard to put on a good face and not want to smash something or hit those people when you feel like you do your best and they just want to make you feel/look stupid in front of others. Sending hugs your way!!
Juangela, um do we have the same boss? Sorry I haven't been on here much recently. I am pretty much fried after work every day. My boss is horrible and basically just like juangela described. Every day is a new battle and I come home sick to my stomach and so upset. I have begun the wonderful world of job searches again and I am hoping something comes up soon because I simply do not know how much more I can take, I have to talk myself out of quitting daily.
Currently I have been in and out of work this week since I seem to have a stomach bug...ugh not fun. I haven't been able to keep food down for two days.
On an up note, I was able to finally meet my 7 month old niece a few weeks ago. I went to California to visit my sister and the baby and my mom flew in as well for a girls weekend. It was so nice and Clara (my niece) is a doll! She is the sweetest, most happy baby I have ever seen, not to mention freakin cute as can be. Unfortunately, now I miss her like crazy! I hope everyone has been doing well and hopefully I will be back on more often!
