Sigh

No progress at our dr appt yesterday. Still only 1 cm dilated. I know baby can still come at any time, but we're scheduled for an ultrasound and appt next Wednesday to talk about inducing. Praying LO comes on his/her own before then!

Heather and Kristen, Parker and Margot came on their own, right? How far past your due date were you? Other moms feel free to chime in! Thanks.

  • I was induced two days before my due date because of blood pressure reasons, but my doc was pretty confident JJ would've missed his due date by almost a week, since I had little progress when I went in. I'd planned on sticking it out as long as I could before the induction became a medical necessity, so no telling what his birthday would've been if I hadn't had those issues.

    Hang in there girl!

  • Do you know the time frame for induction? 41 or 42 weeks? Either way, you've got plenty of time to go into labor still.

I was induced at 41 weeks, and the induction part of my L&D was not bad at all. I did not end up needing the Pitocin and was in labor less than 8 hours. So if it does come to that, it doesn't have to be a bad thing.

  • You still have some time. I was induced at 41 weeks because my doc doesn't let any patients go past 41. However, I know some doc let patients go to 42 weeks. Just like Rachel said. Lol. Hoping baby comes soon!

  • Parker ended up arriving at exactly a week after my dd.  My midwife was comfortable letting me go to 42 weeks before we would schedule an induction. Do you know how far your doctor will let you go?

Hang in there, you still have plenty of time!

  • Can I vote for an April 1 baby? then Baby E and May would be exactly 6 months apart!!!! And Baby E and Parker would be exactly 2 months apart!  (Right Heather? 2 months?)

  • Hope you don't have to wait that long, hang in there, you still have a few days before you dd, and you never know.
  • I was 1 cm dilated for many weeks and then 2 cm at 40.5 weeks. Hang in there girl! I know it's tough waiting it out!

Margot did come on her own. Labor started for me at 40 w 6 d and I had her at exactly 41 weeks. My doc was good with me going to 42 weeks before inducing because we were both still healthy.

  • Hang in there Pam! Not too much longer, even if you do go over!
