My mother in law (who I love) has been asking JJ about me and the pregnancy daily, but she never calls me or emails me, so he told her she should. Then she said well am I going to any of the baseball games this weekend. JJ said he didn't know (he knows I am, but I don't know when b/c there are 3 games). So he told his mom to call me and see. I'm more than happy to sit at the games with her, but if my FIL comes, which he will, then I'll have to sit with him.
The issue is my FIL is the biggest jack@ss with heckling. It drives me CRAZY. I absolutely hate hecklers. He's rude and obnoxious, and I feel like it's his son's work, if anything he should have some respect for his son and not act like that.
So now I don't know what to do, if she calls what should I say? Tell her I'm not going? There's a chance they'll go anyway. I might just say I'll have to see how I'm feeling, but I intend to go both Saturday and Sunday and hate lying... plus I'd love to see her.
Re: WWYD?
Yes, it does bother him. It's bothered him his whole life, but his dad is basically an "it's my way" kind of person. When JJ was in HS and his dad would curse at the umps, JJ would be livid, yell at his dad, and get grounded. It's actually why he decided not to play baseball in college, he didn't want the pressure from his dad.
JJ's opinion is he doesn't want to start a fight with his dad because their relationship is just so rocky that it's best not to stir the giant.
The thing is, I don't like ANY hecklers, be it my FIL or a stranger. If I am by someone heckling, I'll move. JJ could be fine with it and it would still bother me... but what do I say when I want to move b/c my FIL is screaming and irritating me?
I'll try that... if I get the nerve. lol. Or if I admit that I'm going to the games if she calls.
I realize I'm probably overreacting... I just can't stand hecklers... it's just so rude to me.
