iphone or droid?

never posted on here i usually post on ML but I NEED a new phone real bad and can't decide between the new Thunderbolt 4g Droid with Verizon or hold off till the iphone 5 comes? HELP!!

I have a droid and absolutely love it.  I've heard all the rumors and read a lot about the Thunderbolt and it's supposed to be a pretty awesome phone and Verizon's first real 4G phone.  I'd go that route if you need a phone now.  Verizon getting the iPhone 5 is purely speculation right now.  Typically Apple only launches one phone per year per carrier, so a lot of people think that Verizon won't get the iPhone 5 but AT &T will because they're due to have an update (and it will keep them with a competitive edge on Verizon)..

I just got my first smartphone a month ago and I got the Droid X. I love it!  I heard that the Bionic that's supposed to come out this summer is even better than the Thunderbolt.  So, if you can wait, that might be a good choice.  Also, make sure you have 4g service in your area, not that it's a huge deal I heard you just use 3g until 4g is released.

My husband and I love our droids! He is quite the techie and plans on getting a thunderbolt. HTH.

This is a stupid question, but I've been a BB user for years and I haven't even investigated the iPhone because it doesn't have a keypad. Is there a droid with a keypad? I cannot use a touchscreen for typing.

This is bizarre, but I think something's wrong with the amount of static in my fingers or something. Even on touch pads at card scanners in stores the correct number is never entered when I use my fingers and not a pen. It's not like my finger is too big and just hitting the number beside the number I need; it enters some random number that I'm nowhere near touching. Even the touchpad on my BB sometimes freaks out and moved the cursor before I even touch the stupid thing.

Long story short (too late!), I need an actual keypad if a phone is to be any use to me at all.

The droid pro on Verizon has a keypad, otherwise I think the only other one right now with a physical keypad is the Droid 2 by Motorola.  Everything is going towards touchscreen and I was even reluctant at first because I don't like how they aren't very sensitive, but the technology is coming and in some cases there and now I have the Samsung Fascinate and that's only touchscreen and I like it.

I vote iPhone. Apple's customer service is the best, hands down. I find the interface much simpler on iPhone as well.

i have an iphone and LOVE it...although i do have 3 friends with droids and they all hated it and refuse to get another. not sure why exactly but the iphone hasnt given me any problems at all thus far and ive had it for about a month-through verizon.
