When are you too old to wear short sundresses?
I've started to wonder if I'm too old for them now that I'm in my early (and soon to be mid) thirties. I'm looking at this dress and wondering if I could still wear it for the next few years? WDYT?

Here's the back view. I don't think it's very short. It's more the top I'm wondering about. Now that I'm thinking about it I wonder if my strapless bra would even work with it anyway. Mmm...

I'm 32 (almost 33!) and my summer staple is mini skirts and tank tops and sun dresses. Not quite as low-cut as that, but I would wear it.
disclaimer: I come from a place where 100+ degrees for weeks solid is the norm in the summer, and when it's 104 outside for the 4th straight day, you get as close to naked as you're comfortable getting, regardless of age.
I think I found a better option since finding that that I wouldn't have any qualms about wearing. It was the coral color I was looking for. I've been wanting a dress this color for awhile.

Cute dress. Almost looks like the BM dresses that my girls wore except theirs was tea length. Same color too.
This one is super cute!

That is cute, Mary. But I wonder how you would keep your bra from showing looking at the close up of the bust area.

I think if you just wear a nude one it wouldn't be an issue.

Oh...yeah I guess if you didn't have one then it's kind of a bummer. I think it's super cute though...I want one now! Too bad it's rainy and cold outside still!
You might be able to sew a little modesty piece of nude fabric into it if you were that worried about it. That wouldn't cost as much as a bra...assuming you can sew.

LOL...I know...I sooo want that dress. I ended up finding something different on ebay for $40...it's short though. Not sure if I'm going to wear it to the dinner or not. I finally got clarification and they said cocktail or evening dress, so it might be OK.

Tea Time for Lulu
This is the only reason I don't wear some super skin-baring stuff. When you're this white, it just looks so much more suggestive than people with tans! And ditto what EmmieB said about 100+ degree heat (which you, h, obviously know about).

You are correct in your assumption H. I meant wrinkled, vericose (sp?) veined, faux orange tanned, etc. My attitude is, no one wants to see orange wrinkly cleavaged women trying desperately to be young. But regardless of your age, if you look and feel good, you should be allowed to flaunt it.
Tea Time for Lulu
I think you can wear a sun dress at any age...but the style has to change with age. I think even short sundresses are okay for older gals....as long as they aren't too short.
That dress however seems made for someone really young, like a late teen super early 20s at most.

Yeah I agree, the second one is much better.
