Hi Ladies.. I know its been a while and unfortunately, I can't stay too long today either. Just a quick update..
I lost my job as of March 1st.. I think you may remember that I worked for my FIl's company and unfortunately, we had to close because of an enormous business deal gone wrong. I am completely devastated by this and still can't believe that it is over.
Jack's last day of daycare was 3/11 so I spent my 1st 2 weeks of unemployment cleaning the house and getting ready for it to go on the market by 4/1. Please keep us in your T&P that this house sells fast and for at least close to what we owe on it. We realize that we will take some kind of a hit and we are prepared to take the loss out of Mike's 401, but we can't afford a crazy amount. We have been to Milford PA to look at the area and really can't wait to get out of here. As much as we love living in NY and how proud we are to be New Yorkers, we can't stay here.. There is absolutely no way what-so-ever we can afford being here on 1 salary. I had every well paying job and my FIL paid for Jacks 320.00/week daycare bill. While Mike works for a good company and is doing well there, I am ashamed to say that we didn't create a financial cushion. I assumed that I would always work for this company and eventually I would take it over. We were a small operation, but managed to make an unbelievable yearly profit.
Jack is keeping me busy and it is quite an adjustment being home. I love being with him all day.. I am seeing how fast he is learning and thriving being home, but boy is he a handful
He is a very active curious 20 month old.. Geeze, I can't believe that we will be planning his 2nd birthday soon. Hopefully we will be in PA by then and some of you are close enough to attend ![]()
Anyway, as tough as things have been, I know we will make it and we be a stronger family because of this.. If you have gotten this far, thank you for listening, and as always thanks for being there.. I appreciate having a place where I can talk openly about anything. Love ya!!

HI AMY!!!!
I have been thinking about you and was just wondering the other morning how everything was going. I am so sorry to hear that about your FIL's company. That is very sad. Sending lots and lots of thoughts and prayers your way that everything works out in PA!! How far away is that from where you are now? Will your H have to find a new job too?
GOOD LUCK!!

Hi Amy!
Like I told you on fb, I miss seeing you around here. I hope the house sells quickly and that you are able to get what you are asking for it. I can't believe Jack is almost 2, where did those years go? We will need to do a PA/NJ gtg once you are here and settled.
