bread machine recipes!  I want something other than white bread and cinnamon raisin.  Do you have any favorites you would be willing to share?  I would appreciate it!

  • I didn't get my breadmaker for my wedding. sad face. I have found some yummy sounding things on blogs I want to try.

  • ok let me grab my book....cuisenart gave us a cookbook in our box for our breadmaker :)

    For the 2 lb loaf setting (if you have something different i can let you know the measurements

    1/2 c of buttermilk (i'd been using eggnog instead, today i used half and half...i'll let you know how it tastes)

     2/3c unsalted butter 1/2 in pieces at room temp

    2 eggs at room temp

    1/2 t vanilla

    1 1/2c banannas mashed....i use brown ones i've frozen

    1t of salt

    1 1/2c of sugar (today i did half brown half white, i didnt have enough white)

    2 2/3c flour 

     1t baking powder

    1 1/2 t baking soda

    3/4 c chopped walnuts (i've also used chocolate chips)

    put them all in, use a quick bread cake setting, medium crust, 2lb setting, scrape it 4 mins in and let it finish (remove paddle if you have a paddle removal option when it dings)
