Re: Pork Roast Recipes?
My husband makes an amazing pork roast, here is what he does.
Overnight brine (standard brine of "brown sugar, allspice, cloves & sh!t" his quote)
Brown the pork roast on all sides, let cool*, and then he slathers it in this amazing mustard we usually have Raye's Fall Harvest and roasts at 450 in the bottom of the oven. I think Raye's is carried locally or you may be able to find something similar, but this is the best pork I've ever had!
*Editing to say, let cool just enough to be able to slather the mustard on, not cool completely
Ours is super super easy.
In crock pot combine 1.5 cups water, 1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce. Sprinkle top of the roast generously with garlic pepper. Place roast in crock pot and drop in four cloves and one bay leaf. Cook on low for 8 hours.
Carnitas!!!
