Sorry, Sherlock!

V cleans Sherlock's litter box in the evenings.

This afternoon, Sherlock was just moseying about, and then sat down next to the litterbox and looked at me. That's not a spot he usually likes to hang out, so I thought it was unusual.

I looked at his litterbox and noticed that the lid was on backwards, facing the corner instead of outwards. He had no way to get in.

Poor guy! He went almost a whole day with no access to the litterbox. But he was such a good boy, no accidents. Didn't even complain. As soon as we turned it around, he hopped in and went 3 times in a row, lol.

Re: Sorry, Sherlock!

  • That's awesome! How cool that he waited. My cats would have, uh, "booked another location" had I done something like that lol

  • Poor kitty. I'm pretty sure that mine would have not been so okay with it.

  • Sherlock is such a little gentleman, so polite!  I think my cats would have held it, but my Spitze tends to "yell" at us when things are out of order or he is unhappy with something.

  • That's so good of him.

Auguri: I love that your cats name is Spitze!

  • Poor, baby!  I'm sure Rex would have tried to get our attention but we're so dense we wouldn't have understood what he wanted.

  • Poor Sherlock!  Cheddar would definitely let me know about that.  But he's kind of a diva.

This exactly.  Mies always has to announce to the world when he is using his litterbox.  He litterally meows at the top of his little kitty lungs.  So we totally wouldn't have thought anything of it if he had tried to get our attention.

  • Poor Sherlock! He's such a good kitty for holding it.

Bailey's so funny when I clean her litter box. The whole time I'm cleaning it she won't leave me alone and the second it's done she jumps in it to use it, like she's been holding it all day! Needless to say our litter box is never completely clean for more than 2 seconds.
