Northern California Nesties
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Re: Anybody else feel...
I hate for any new person to feel left out - which is why I always disagree with you when you say stuff like this which I think only has the potential to make new people feel left out.
Message to all new people: if you'd like to become a part of the FB group, hang out and post a bit, befriend a nestie on FB, and they can/will add you to the group! Anyone can add ANYONE to the group! It isn't exclusive at all and there are no limitations to who can be added! We also rarely post anything over there and it's about as dead and boring there as it is here 99% of the time...that's your fair warning that we're not any more exciting on FB than we are here!
I can see that. Personally, I probably wouldn't post anything in that group that I wouldn't post here. I'd actually prefer to get a wider audience here, but that's just me.

Thus proving my point. Can someone invite (or add or whatever) Cheryl, please?
Stef just did. Thanks!

I felt the same way back when I joined the Nest in 2007. But it quickly became a sort of extended family, even though I didn't meet a ton of girl IRL. It's now 2011, I'm divorced (which sucks) but that's not why I don't come on here much..I feel like alot of the "extended family" folks have moved on to the Bump or just don't post. I really have no reason to post on the Bump, so I post less here because A. I don't have the same connection to alot girls B. I don't have much to contribute because it's already been said/don't feel like repeating and C. work has been somewhat busy, and I feel like if I have a few minutesto post on the nest, I post on the SO board (which is terribly entertaining to lurk on, I know)
So, my point to you is...contribute! It's the only way to get to know "us" and I think it's welcome! Start randome threads-no one minds!
I personally miss the energy that used to be here, but i know quite a few girls stopped posting here because they offended people, etc. which sucks. I appreciated the diversity and adult discussion (and a little snarkiness was entertaining too, I'll admit)

I must be so oblivious to all this drama that's going on! I didn't realize anyone was offending anyone, and that that's why some people have left. That's too bad.
I guess I don't know for fact, but I inferred it from alot of the "I want to post, but don't feel like I can" kind of posts...
