QOTD

What is the craziest thing you have done to impress someone?

Re: QOTD

  • I wanted to go on one of those Ambassador trips when I was a kid, so I lied during the group interview talking about how I went to sleep away camps every summer and had no problem being away from my parents.  I had been to sleep away camp like twice and only for a week.

It didn't matter my parents wouldn't pay for me to go even after I got in.

  • Hmmm it's really not all that crazy but when we first started dating dh and I made a date to go to the beach. I had just over three weeks and worked out (hard core - mostly aerobic) every single day in preperation. I think I missed maaaaybe one day.

  • Scott loves Pink Floyd and I started getting into them after we started "talking". Around that time, David Gilmore (the lead guitarist) came to Oakland. Of course, I found out after the tickets had already went on sale and had to buy them from Stub Hub or whatever - $360 for two. Which maybe that's not too bad, however, we weren't officially "dating" at that point so I was too scared to come out and ask him if he wanted to go. I hinted, but he never picked up on it and just told me how jealous he was that I got to go. Well, the day of the concert rolled around and I had no one to go with. Naturally, I drove to Oakland alone, parked next to the projects, and went to the concert all by myself. It probably wasn't the smartest move (Oakland isn't exactly the safest place at night) but it turned out to be one of the most awesome experiences ever.

  • My only other serious boyfriend before Ben was way into cars and rice racers. We had nothing in common but he was my first boyfriend and I was "in love". I adopted this love of cars and even had him mod out of car. Us and his pack of friends would go driving around all the time. I never fit in!!! It embarrasses me to even think about that time. The funny side to it is, Ben has to come and ask me car questions.
    I heart Ben!!

  • As a sophomore in high school, I ioined the fencing team in high school because there was a cute senior boy on the team.

    I'd never fenced before.

I made the team, and, even though there were only about 25 of us (men and women combined) cute boy still never spoke to me.

I fenced throughout high school and was very good.

Looking back, he wasn't very cute, afterall.
