Hey ladies - need your design expertise!
Once we finish cleaning up our spare (well, actually master) bedroom and finishing up the wall we had to replace, we want to paint, but im at a loss for what color!
Here's what we have in our house right now.
Kitchen - light gray
Dining room - a peachy color that is very light but looks great in the room (esp. with orange curtains!!!)
Living room - a yummy tan/brown color (actually call Antique Leather). its so nice and warm
Hallways/Downstairs bath - a neutral off white (maybe Navajo white or something?)
Upstairs bath - a color that reminds me of light milk chocolate
Now here comes the issue. Upstairs bedrooms are not painted anything special yet. We have this bedding set that we are currently using, so we thought that maybe a pale blue in our room would be good, or a nice medium gray. this is technically the guest bedroom, but we're using it right now for the master.
So what color do you think we should make our other room based on the other colors we have in our house? its a 1946 cape so we dont want to do anything too outrageous, and all the trim will eventually be white so it pops nicely. Both bedrooms have the annoying slanty ceilings.

Re: What color to paint the bedrooms?
I love your bedspread! I would probably paint three walls a medium grey and then have an accent wall the light blue color. Or do the three walls an off white with a blue accent wall, that way if you every wanted to change out the accent wall it'd be easy and you'd still the three walls the neutral color.
Our two spare bedrooms we just painted a neutral off white color-boring but easy to change in the future if needed.
Since you seem to have a lot of tans/browns I think a light tan color would look great, still neutral but also having some warmth to it.
Have fun!
I had fun picking out our bedroom colors! There are so many places you can look- including the decorating & renovating board. There is something called the nestie paint bio that is a compilation of lots of rooms sorted by color (real rooms in real houses). Also, I really like Sherwin Willliams paint viewer... and I wanted all three rooms to flow b/c I eventually want to paint the hallway to blend in to, so I did this:
I'll update it with the picture at work
I can't see the pic (stupid work!) but I like the idea of a light blue accent wall with the other walls being medium gray.
What about doing the other room in like a golden/wheat color. Still pretty neutral but adding some warmth and color that would be easy to build off of.
I
Good luck!
thanks ladies,
im not a big fan of accent walls in a such a traditional style house, so id prefer all the walls to be the same color.
the extra bedroom is total blank canvas which im having trouble with. maybe yellow would work, but i was considering that for our hallways at some point...so idk. maybe i should find a bedding that i like for the extra bedroom and then work off of that...
im kinda sick of brown, seeing as 1 HUGE room downstairs is brown and the upstairs bath is brown.

That might be your best bet - it will help narrow down the choices for sure.
I really like that comforter you posted - I'd go with a beige if you got it. Then you can accent it with some cool prints. Maybe bring in that lighter green from that accent pillow more.
oo or this one, since hte previous one i posted didnt have good reviews about the actual color when it was recieved (not true to picture!)

I like 1 and 4 the best. I think 1 is my favorite though. I see a pretty white room with lime green accents and black and white pictures on the walls.
Or with 4 you could go for walls that are the same yellow as in the comforter and then keep the decor fairly black/white/gray.
That is exactly what I did. We got our master bedding for the wedding, I really like my old comforter (just simple white/light blue design), and I found a print I like to make bedding for the third room (or can just buy it from ikea). I did a mood board kind of thing- just to make sure the colors meshed together:
I agree with Lauren - I love 1 and 4.
With 4, you could also do gray walls and accent with yellow.
