Can you reccomend banks near Fort Myers, FL? Are there any nationwide banks nearby?

I'm sure there is a Bank of America nearby.  That is where I bank.

USAA is great.  They make their services so convenient that you on't even need a physical bank location.  You can deposit checks via e-mail or even texting a picture of the check on your iPhone.  They don't have ATM fees and reimburse up to $15/month in foreign ATM fees.  They have no annuals fees with no minimum balance requirements.  Their customer service is also top notch.  We use them for almost everything- car insurance, renter's insurance, life insurance, checking, credit cards, etc.

I can not say enough great things about Regions Bank. I am not sure if its nationwide though. I despise Bank of America and Suntrust.

I have used BOA forever, although I'm not sure why.  We are switching all of our accounts to BB&T, where my H has always banked.  They give us much better service there.  The only upside to BOA is that they are everywhere.

We use 5/3 because thats who we had in Chicago and the transition was easy. Not sure if I'd recommend them though.

I know a lot of people like Wachovia.
