Centerpiece for an outdoor umbrella table?

I am hosting a bridal shower, and one of the potential locations is outside, with wrought iron patio tables and an umbrella.  This makes a traditional centerpiece difficult.  Any creative ideas to have something on the table to dress it up a little?  The shower will be in the summer.  Thanks!

Re: Centerpiece for an outdoor umbrella table?

  • You could get two semi-circle floral wreaths and place them end-to-end around the pole.

Or get garlands and wrap them around the poles and supports.

  • Maybe about 5 smaller vases surrounding the center of the table? It's not ideal, but it's tough to work around the umbrella! Or possibly make each place setting pretty enough that nobody notices that there isn't a centerpiece (really they won't notice anyway) Stick out tongue

  • feather boas around the pole, have and where the two ends are, some other type decoration there (like flower balls)
  • Get brightly colored balloons and tie around the pole with long streamer ribbons. Pick 2-3 colors (Use the bridal party colors if that decision has been made).
