According to yahoo, Dominica is one of the 10 most amazing tropical escapes. Awh! It's not for everyone since we don't have white sandy beaches and we are very new to the whole tourism thing, but it offers a different experience.

i used to work at this really terrible school filled with (largely) really terrible kids...but i had this one boy from dominica, and he was THE NICEST, most well-mannered and hard-working young man. he didn't let any of the nonsense going on around him affect his academics OR his attitude. it was truly astounding.
i have never been to dominica, but i have great respect for its people based on my experience with that child and his family!
