Eric is sick, so he was coughing and moving around all night, keeping me up. So I slept through my alarm this morning, and his, until he woke me up. Rushed around, got myself together, and went to gyno appt, which is always fun. My doc moved to upstate NY and left the practice and I loved her, so that sucks. Oh, and I'm 40. That means I'm now in possession of a script for my first yearly mammogram. Joy. I had one done at 35 and after getting yelled at by the tech for crying from the pain and threatening to knock her teeth out in return, I swore I'd never have another. But I'll go. And now the burning question: if I'm taking off every other stitch of clothing... why do I leave my socks on?
Re: Uck.
Because your feet get cold? I take off my socks because I have thick calves and socks make them look worse.
Hopefully the mammo doesn't hurt as badly this time...They are important though so I'm glad you're going!
By the way...nothing for me is worse than rushing around and running late...it literally sets the tone for my entire day. Just terrible.
ITA with every.single.thing you said, Melissa.
Good luck, L. I'm glad you're going.

I was running late this morning due to numerous things beyond my control and I thought as I stepped outside "If my car is frosted over I am going to have an aneurysm." ....sure enough my car was frosted over. No aneurysm...so maybe I was overreacting a little bit.
What is it with today and running late? I miraculously got to work right on time, which amazes me. I somehow slept 5 minutes too late, and was, of course, 5 minutes late getting out of the house. And then I hit like every red light possible.
Good luck with the booby squish. Just remind yourself that this is an important part of taking care of your health. And it's just once a year (or is it less now?).
