I did a super sweet bday for my H's 30th (that involved taking a trip to Myrtle Beach and renting a beach house with his friends - it's cheap in January, don't go thinking I'm a baller or anything).
I'm worried that for my 30th we'll do nothing since we'll hopefully have a kid. H better come through with a kick butt present.
Oh, and get this - my friend did a similar thing for her H's 30th a few months after my H. Two years later it's her 30th and he did nothing. He got her a harley jacket that she doesn't even like. I would be livid.
I have mixed feelings about my 30th. On the one hand I would love to do something big and really go all out (including the drinking), but on the other hand I also hope to be knocked up by June so that would put a big damper on the plans.

Poor J... we had a big ole surprise party planned for his 30th, but Gabby hijacked it by being born that day. WTF. lol On his 31st we threw a party for Gabby's 1st birthday and announced to everyone that I was pregnant... hijacked again! Poor guy. Maybe we will plan a nice trip for BOTH of us to enjoy when I turn 30. I like to imagine we'll be able to afford that, too, Thor. hahahah
First weight loss goal - 40lbs... DONE! Second weight loss goal - 17lbs...

He surprised me with a trip to Jamaica. My birthday is 2 days after Christmas, so there is usually not a lot of time to do anything between Christmas and New Year's, plus it's always cold. So H told me to pack a bag with clothes for warm weather. I didn't find out where we were going until we got to the airport. Best surprise ever! There was nothing for me to whine about while laying on the beach in December even if I was turning 30!
