How does Word merge documents? I have a couple dozen files that are saved on both the computer and the jumpdrive at work. On most of the files, updates have been made to the computer verison as well as the jump drive verison. I know when I go to tranfser the files from the jump drive to the computer it asks if I want to rename, replace, or merge (or something like that). Will it mess up the files if I merge?
Re: Merging Word documents
I would make a 'dummy file' and test it if you're worried.
But no, it shouldn't mess up files to 'merge'. It's basically saying "Hey, this shiit is old school... mind if I update it to a new version when I transfer? No? Cool."
