well - I finally got my bonus at work today which alleviates *some* of the stress about our gigantic tax bill. It won't entirely cover it but it'll make a big dent. The stress of it all was taking a big toll on my bod. I had to go to the minute clinic in town because I randomly got an infected toe and needed drugs since it wasn't taking care of itself and my BP was through the roof.
The "good" thing about that sky high BP is that it is making me seriously kick it into high gear to be healthier. My sister and I have a pact to keep eachother on track and we're doing small goals to start with. Mine are to go vegetarian 1 meal a week, to add fish one meal a week, to bring my lunch to work 4 of 5 days a week, and to elevate my heartrate at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes a stretch. Ideally, that'll get bumped up as my stamina increases but we had a seriously awful winter with lots of snow and ice so I've been pretty sedentary for the last 5 months or so. I'm even seriously considering starting the couch to 5K program. The lake that I live 4 blocks from is exactly 5K around and that just seems like a sign.
