We are beginning the hunt for a new car. Probably a newer, used, Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey. Recommend a dealer and a sales rep at that dealership to talk to please. They can be anywhere from Bangor to Portland (since we live an hour from both, it would work out).
Also, any other recommendations for vans? I'd love to have an SUV but what I want is not in the budget (and probably never will be) and the one SUV (Chevy Trailblazer) that would compromise on to get, Chris doesn't like.
Thanks ladies!
Re: Car dealers
I would like to NOT recommended Downeast Toyota - specifically Ron Ronco (but I don't think he is there anymore).
They screwed DH over when he bought his car right out of college and was too young and stupid.
As someone who bought an SUV over a minivan (we have a Highlander), I'd say stick with the minivan plan. Don't get me wrong, I love our Highlander, but if you're psychologically/emotionally able to do the minivan thing (we weren't; we hadn't had kids yet), then just do it. If you don't do it now, you'll wish later that you did. When I think about schlepping kids' friends and gear and stuff, and when I ride in my sister's Sienna, I realize that a minivan is the practical choice.
