Is she actually showing up.today? With or without the dog? If she comes, I really hope I'm wrong about how this is going to go down. I hope she doesn't drive you too crazy and then cheerfully hops a plane in 2 weeks.

Ya, she's here. Sigh. DH boarded the dog for me and part of my sanity. Of course, we had to pay for it, but I think it will be money well spent! He picked her up yesterday and had a long talk with her in the car - told her no smoking and if she absolutely had to, she needs to go 10 feet away from the house, wash her hands, and change clothes. She hasn't had a cigarette since she was in NC! We'll see how today goes. He also told her that she needs to pick up after herself and not put her crap everywhere (she is so messy!). He took her to the grocery store before bringing her here, so that's one less thing I have to do with the baby in tow. The driver picked up DH at 3:45 this morning I was up feeding the baby. He came in to say goodbye and apologized again for the situation and said if she does anything to let him know and he'll call her and let her have it. So, here goes the start of 12 days without DH and with just MIL! Oh, and if she tells me one more time that I dont have to pick up MY baby right away when she cries or that I shouldn't hold her so much, I'm going to lose it! I dont know how they did it back in the day, but I want my 1 month old baby to actually trust me and if shes being fussy and wants to be held and snuggled, I'm going to do it!! Maybe that's why she has such a good relationship with her 3 sons (insert sarcasm). Ok, that started turning into a vent ... Lol

Oh ya, he also told her this trip was terrible timing and that she needs to figure her life out and get it together!!

Hang in there, and try your best to get out of the house with out her. Visit with some friends and play groups.
