Any good at knowing what computer to buy?
My laptop is on it's last legs. I've had it reformatted a few times in the last couple months and it keeps crashing so I think it's time for a new one. I just have no clue where to start. All I really want is something for surfing the internet and Mircrosoft Office type work. DH wants something that will be fast enough to stream live hockey. Any recommendations on a good laptop to look at? I want to keep it as cheap as possible but I'd rather pay a little more for something that will last a little while and not be too slow. TIA!
Re: Any good at knowing what computer to buy?
IMO, anything will suit for streaming live hockey. Your network would likely pose more problems than processing speed or graphics card.
Check out Best Buy, Newegg, Dell, Office Depot. If you're in a service industry (education, for example), you may qualify for special pricing through Dell, HP, Apple.

most computers are good enough to stream hockey. streaming depends more internet speed than hardware
Ditto. For you needs, you definitely do not need top of the line. I would watch the above websites listed for good deals. GL!
