newbie/lurker and finally have a question
Ok I am starting my Garden (finally after 2 years) I am having a debate with what I should plant, I know I want lots of color, but the weather in the summer here is so hot and humid (middle of texas) so I am afraid that they will burn or just plain die. I was wondering if any one has this heat problem and what you plant.

Re: newbie/lurker and finally have a question
I would talk to someone at a local nursery (not a big box store, and actual nursery) and see what they recommend for your area. You should be able to get some good ideas there.
FWIW, my parents live in the Mojave desert in CA (summer temps in the 110s). Their entire backyard is a rose garden and my dad has done very well with herbs.
