I'm not allowed to have an opinion on TB since I don't have kids, so with that being said......I don't see an issue with the Dad working there, as long as he passes all background checks, drug screenings, etc. I don't think it's fair that because he's a man working with children it's assumed he's a sexual predator who cannot be trusted to be alone with the kids, or to change a diaper. I'm more uncomfortable with the fact that the daycare owner says she won't have him change diapers (seems to indicate a lack of trust), but that he will be alone with the kids while she takes her daughter to preschool. It's not feasible that he may not need to change a diaper while she's gone. I would be livid if my kid was left in a poopy diaper for an hour waiting for her to get back.
However, if you are uncomfortable, then go with your gut.
Re: Faith
I completely agree!
thanks girls! I updated on the bump. I was fine with it until the whole diaper changing thing was brought up. If he isn't qualified to change a diaper why are you hiring him?
I think the owner made the diaper changing statement without really thinking it through.

Point it out to the owner then. I think she opened up this can of worms by including that bit of info. Of course I would ASSume a daycare provider (male or female) would be changing my child's diaper. Its a poopy diaper, not an open invite for inappropriate behavior.
