Happy Monday! how was your weekend?

Hi ladies :-)

How was everyone's weekend?  Ours was fun.  We went to the NYBG on Sunday, and G seemed to like it.  We got some great pictures of her trying to grab the flowers at least :-)

The only thing I DIDN'T like is how darn expensive it is!!  For two people, with parking, including our AAA discount, it cost us $48!!!  And the kicker was that only the inside stuff was blooming, everything else was still dormant for the winter!!

Re: Happy Monday! how was your weekend?

  • Glad G enjoyed her time out with mom & dad. Too bad it was pricey.

We enjoyed our weekend as well. We did some shopping and took advantage of JC Penney's amazing sale on Saturday. DH spent the rest of the day cutting our new wall in the living room prepping for mounting our brand new LED tv. (Still no cable but at least we now have reason to get cable).

Sunday, I worked on our entryway closet. It looks so cute now and organized. DH did some demo in the basement. We want to get a washer/dryer before the end of the year but that basement is gross, so we gotta redo the entire thing. For now we'll focus on the area where the W/D should go and then take it from there.

All in all, a productive weekend!

*Speaking of Botanical Gardens -the husband and I were *just* speaking about our plans to attend the Cherry Blossom Festival at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens on 4/30 (its also on /1) but the big day is 4/30. Drummers, music all kinds of things happening. $10 for adults...

As for our weekend - school on Saturday of course, and yesterday we had a GREAT massage first thing in the morning and then a wonderful brunch at a French place here in Bay Ridge.

  • Our weekend was really good and busy!

Friday night: stayed in and went to bed early.

Saturday: i observed 2 ballet classes of little kids then met DH and 2 guy friends to see the movie Sucker Punch. It was entertaining and i liked it! Then we went for food and drinks, then dessert at the Cupcake Cafe (it was ok, the cupcake was drier than i wanted it to be...) then one of the guys came back to our apartment with us and then another guy friend came over. We ordered Mexican and stayed up chatting till 12pm! It was fun but i was tired...

Sunday: we headed to NJ to see BIL and his fam and the ILs while they were there visiting. Got home after 9pm and then i had an IM chat date with my group partners for a presentation we did this morning.

I also tried to work on other homework over the weekend and i wasn't too successful... :(

  • i feel blissfully rested after my weekend!  saturday, we went to spinning, and then spent the rest of the day tooling around the house and making muffins with a bunch of leftover fruit.  sunday, DH had a fantasy baseball draft in princeton, so i had the house to myself, and just did some leisurely grocery shopping and bummed around on thenest a lot.

it's a hectic week, btw MIL crap and it being the end of the trimester for my students.  ah, the joys of grading projects and filling out report cards...

  • Saturday, my sister and I went to the Opera, it was absolutely fantastic! But it lasted nearly 4 hours, so I got home after 2am (so the next morning kinda sucked, but DH let me sleep in!!) Sunday, we went over to my grandma's. DH took Monday off because he really needed to go clothes shopping: he's been on a diet and lost a lot of weight, so most of his stuff was too big on him, so we got almost an entire wardrobe full of new stuff for him! Ooh, and we also saw Adjustment Bureau, which we both really liked. Ahh, I love long weekends!
