Another one moving to Murfreesbro :)

We currently live in Greenville, SC but visited Murfreesboro this past weekend and really liked it compared to some of the other Nashville area.  We are moving in July but won't be able to make it back that way until early June.  We will be renting the first year. We have a 4 yr old boy and another one on the way.  Would love to find a kid-friendly neighborhood with good schools.  Can you suggest any areas to look into or to stay away from?  Any reviews on the Cason Lane area?  Property management companies?

Thanks!

We would love all the help we can get!

  • I don't live in Murfreesboro and I really don't know anything about the area, but check out realtracs.com, its a great website for finding houses!

  • I've lived in the boro my whole life and I love it i wouldn't really recommend the Cason Lane area just because it is soooo congested all the time. I live closer to the Lascassas area (37130 zip code) and it is not congested at all but is not far at all from the mall/restaurant areas. Also, we have really good schools in this area so you can't really go wrong. I would suggest the Oakland/Siegel schools though. Hope all this helps! And we are only about 30 min away from Nashville so it's totally easy to have a night out in Music City! :)

  • oh PS, my DH and I just bought a house and used Clark Maples Realty (agent Jennifer Young), she was wonderful and didn't show us anything out of our price range. She also was really helpful to hear what we wanted and try to find houses that we would like.
