New Nesties..... Get togethers?
Hey everyone, I am newly married (march 5th 2011) and I was wondering whether or not nesties from the KC area ever get together for happy hours or group events? I know that this board hasnt been the most active in the past, but I was looking at other cities and people actually have get togethers.... I thought it would be a cool way for couples to meet and share common interests and just have fun.... With the spring weather hopefully just around the corner, maybe a picnic in the park or something...????

I don't know of anything like that, but that would be kind of cool. This board isn't really all the active, but it's better than the Kansas board. Congratulations on your (new) marriage.
Hi!! congrats!! My FI and I are getting married this July!
I am 22 years old and I will graduate college in December with a BA in psychology, and he has a masters degree in fiction writing and he is working on a novel! At the moment he is just doing odd jobs to pay the bills, he works as a caregiver for seniors and he also works as a busboy at AMC theaters. He really wants to teach english at the college level, so he has been applying wherever he can find an opening but has not had much luck with that.
Anyway we live in an apartment in OP. As PP said, I dont know of anything like that but it would be so much fun! We would love to meet some other newlyweds or engaged couples in the area!
I think that if we can pull together a fun get together in the park it would be a ton of fun.... Does anyone want to look at dates in early June or even late May? Austin and I both graduate this May so things are kinda hectic right now.... He is already in grad school for education and I am in the midst of trying to find a job, so a later BBQ pot luck would be better.....Plus gives a more time to recruite some other people to join us....

Hey girls! I just started reading these boards and was wondering if anything ever got set up for a happy hour or get together. My husband got married last summer and would love to get to know some newlyweds up here. We are both orginally from Arkansas but moved up here a few years ago for school.
My husband graduated from Park and played baseball there and I graduate next spring (yippeeee

I'm never on this board but am looking to meet new girlfriends in the KC area. I'm single (divorced) & wanting to meet new people. I'll try to stop by here more often to see if plans are in the works!
Congrats to you too! I go to Rockhurst University.... Ok, Sooooo dates? Anyone want to throw out some times that work best for them... The knot members and whomever wants to come can suggest dates and times.....
