Question for the distance runners
I have been roughly following Hal Higdon's half marathon plan to train for the Riverbank 25k. With bumping up the long runs, my longest run before the race will be 12 miles. Do you think I'll be able to complete the 15.5 m on race day? I don't really care about time, bit do want to run/jog the entire distance. This is the longest distance I've run, so I just want to be safe.
Re: Question for the distance runners
Yep. The longest I did before my first Riverbank was 12 miles.

And by the time you hit 12mi along the Riverbank course, I think you're right around John Ball Park, so the crowds pick up a lot more. The back half isn't as spectator-populated, but the closer you get to downtown again, that changes for the better and provides a nice boost.

You know I'm always up for a beer!
They actually have beer tents and you get a free beer ticket after the race. The beer is usually something shitty though, like a Michelob Ultra - and I've always been too cold to really enjoy it. Although, I wonder when Founders or HopCat opens . . .
Mmm beer... my running group always hosts a big picnic afterward; you'd be more than welcome to join there, too!
And at your pace, you will be within plenty of company along the way. Enjoy the last month of training!!
