Thursday Night shows? Suggest them :)
Oook.. I'm officially sad that Jersey Shore is over until Italy, so I'd like a Thursday night show if there's another one out there worth watching.
Suggestions?
Re: Thursday Night shows? Suggest them :)
American Idol 8pm
Bones 9pm fox
Greys 9pm fox
Private Practice 10
what my thursdays look like (with greys on a different night ont he dvr) we also dvr that ice brigade on food network?
Getting fit for IVF!
I don't know about the investigation shows.. they freak me out lol
I've heard good things about The Office, maybe I'll give that a try.
You've never seen The Office??? It's great! Definitely check it out!
In my opinion, don't waste your time on Parks & Recreation - it used to always be on at the gym when I would go and I hated it!
I'm also not a 30 Rock fan, but I know it's super popular (my sister and brother-in-law can't get enough of it), so it may be worth giving it a try.

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermThe Office is funny. I don't watch on a regular basis, but enough to know the characters.
I stopped watching Greys and Private Practice when DH and I moved in together, but they were good in the past.
Come to think of it, I feel like I don't really have any shows I have to watch.

That's funny cause even though I didn't care for it too much, I kept watching, and the last like 5 episodes have been hilarious! It's SO much better now than it was, I promise!!
I watch (well, record) everything on NBC from 8:00-11:00pm, which is Community, Perfect Couples, The Office, Parks & Rec, 30 Rock & Outsourced.
It's a really bad time to start getting into The Office, simply because Steve Carrell is leaving. But I would HIGHLY recommend watching it from the beginning - it's hilarious and much different than it is now.
Perfect Couples is new, and it's pretty funny and cute - it's not a show you need to catch up on, you'll get it right away.
Parks and Rec is good now, and it has Rob Lowe...can't go wrong there
30 Rock is fine, nothing special if you ask me, but certainly watchable.
Community has its moments, but it's ehhhh.
And I hate Outsourced....DH watches it, I gave up on it after like 5 episodes.
Sincerely Yours,
Obsessed with Television
I hated Greys when it first came out, so I can't imagine I'd like it now.
Brooke - thanks for all the suggestions. I saw one episode of Outsourced and thought it was pretty funny.
I admittedly love terrible shows, so maybe I should be asking what you all DON'T watch lol I guess I'll do a little testing this Thursday and see what works.
Big Bang Theory is on Thursdays, huh? I watch it whenever I catch it, and it is quite funny. I'd definitely recommend! Guess I never realized which night it was. Sheldon actually went to one of my high school's "rival" schools, and also graduated from the same college that I did...I never knew him, so not trying to claim any fame here
I will claim fame to this one, though...a guy I went to high school with has a non-speaking part on Outsourced. I've only seen one and a half episodes (and didn't love it), but he's apparently still on there...

Oh - and Grey's Anatomy - I refused to watch it from the beginning because it replaced Boston Legal on the night I ALWAYS watched Boston Legal.
Turns out I apparently missed a pretty great show (and quit watching Boston Legal soon after), but I feel like it's way too late for me to get into now.

Hm. Am I the only one that watches mindless tv? Remember.. I'm the Jersey Shore/Teen Mom/Basketball Wives watcher.... anyone, anyyyyone else!?!? haha
damn you all for watching mature television!
I tried to watch Jersey Shore once, just to see what the hype was about. I lasted about 10 minutes before wanting to remove my own eyes and ears.
I do, however, watch my share of trashy TV. I love Millionaire Matchmaker.

OC is Sunday nights and I think that Miami is Tuesdays maybe?
I also really like Parks and Recreation. I watched 2 episodes of Perfect Couples, but just couldn't get into it.
And yep, I like mindless TV...my weaknesses are real housewives though

We honestly almost always have sports, shows on HGTV or something like Pawn Stars, or old reruns (King of Queens, Seinfeld, etc.) on in our house, so there's not time for mindless TV - not to mention if I liked it, Chris and I could never be in the same room watching TV together!
We happened upon an episode of the Kardashians once (the episode where the sister married Lamar Odom, which is the only reason we were watching, because Chris saw a basketball player while flipping through the channels). We really felt dumb for spending an hour watching it, but were actually entertained. In the end, we swore we would never do it again. Haha!

THIS THIS THIS
On Real Housewives Miami Scottie Pippen's wife (I've heard ex now though) is on the show and Scottie was in an episode briefly. DH heard his voice from the other room and came in to see what I was watching.

This. and CSI.
WE never actaully watch tv the night it is on. We usually hit up netflix of hulu for our favorite shows, since we cut cable and no longer have a DVR.
I'm totally into mindless TV; I even watch Sister Wives lol but I can't think of anything that comes on Thursdays.
Those are two of my favorite television shows, so it kind of breaks my heart a little to read that, heh. I totally pink-puffy-heart Parks & Rec., and 30 Rock isn't as good as it was in the first couple of years, but it still makes me laugh hysterically at least a couple of times every episode. Plus, I may identify with Liz Lemon a little too much, ahem.
And we watched Jersey Shore, too, but I am really glad this season is over. The Sammi-Ronnie stuff was really awful. So unhealthy.
I was talking to Mike about the options.. his sweet lil self said why don't we make it another date night since he works from home on Fridays. He wants it to be our outside dinner night where we grill and eat on the deck. I'm absolutely down for that lol
Butttttt.... on rainy/cold days, I'll be taking up the suggestions given so thank you all very much for the help!
I watch most things online these days, so I usually have no idea what night stuff really comes on.
The Office is the one thing I try to watch when it's actually on. I just worry that starting it right now, it's at a weird place and you're not going to know wtf is going on. You know? So, you might have to give it a few weeks to grow on you. The coming eps should be good, as they are Steve Carrell's last.
Missing our little turkey.
