Candyland Themed *BABY* Shower

I don't really post here but I hope to get some ideas from you wonderful, creative ladies!
I am having a Candyland themed *BABY* shower this summer and really want to go all out! (well, within reason 
)
I plan on decorating to recreate the trail, having different colorful tablecloths, different colored paper good, a candy buffet, an ice cream buffet and decorate with large candy pieces like this.
I am looking for whatever input you guys have though!
I definitely need some help with my candy/ice cream buffet. I want to recreate the board game; how does this sound
o Gingerbread plum trees = ?
o Peppermint Forest = chocolate covered pretzels to look like candycanes
o Gumdrop Mountains: cupcake tower with gumdrops on each cupcake
o Licorice Castle =?
o Peanut Brittle House = ?
o Lollipop woods - lollipop toparies
o Molasses Swamp = chocolate fondue?
o Princess Frostine/King Candy & Candy Castle = Ice cream Bar (different ice creams and mix-ins)
Should I add anything else. I plan on having treat boxes so people can take stuff home since I won't be doing favors. I am also trying to keep it a little different and not so practical. Who really wants to eat a candy cane in June, ya know?

This is an interesting idea for a bridal shower. It's sort of making my teeth hurt with sweetness!
For the peppermint forest- why not peppermint something?
Instead of peanut brittle, what about a chinese something salad with peanuts- for a non candy option for food

Some of your ideas sound too difficult to take home in treat boxes. I would get different shapes of glass containers and stock the containers with the actual candy mentioned - for instance licorice, but not worry about the castle part. I would have:
-Assorted lollipops
-Gumdrops
-Twizzler nibbs
-Ginger candy or ginerbread cookies
-Molasses cookies or candies
-Peanut brittle
-Assorted types of peppermind candies
-Several types of chocolate candies (although not mentioned in the game, they go with the theme and people like it - M&Ms, kisses, etc.)
I agree with this and would maybe have some sort of drawings/cardboard cut outs to represen the game.

Yes there will be regular real food as well. I wanted to do something to recreate the game and incorporate it into a candy buffet with treat boxes instead of favors. I like the idea of doing candies in jars !!
