being a mommy to a little girl is hard!

because how can you go into Nordstroms and not go crazy?? I vowed to never have a spoiled brat daughter but I think I lied.

Okay, baby girl stuff is cute...pink...frilly...darling.. but ehm, has anyone seen the toddler stuff? It's like whole new world of awesomeness!!!  Tights, hair bows to match? Shoes with glitter??? Boots!!! I mean, c'mon...BOOTS???

Re: being a mommy to a little girl is hard!

  • it's scary!!!! i didn't think I'd get into it either, but you should have seen the cute ensemble I put Allison in this morning...to go with my mom to visit my grandmother! My g-ma even commented on the bows I alwyas put in her hair  - she thinks they're cute, but wanted to know wht she has so many. LOL.

I'm worried about what kind of obsession this will turn into...Indifferent

  • The closets in our house have exploded Disney Princess  (all except DH's closet...LOL)!  Plus shoes, tiara, clip on earrings, bracelets, necklaces (that say Hello I'm Cinderella), wands, wings, and somethings light up, flash, play music.  Ai!

And don't even start on the DVD collection, or toys, or furniture...

    I love it!

  • I know!  And DH is just as bad about that stuff.  His excuse that when Jordyn has outgrown it Hayden will wear it!
  • LOL!!!

    You guys are funny!?

However my house has exploded with cars... ?Big cars, small cars, cars from the movie Cars, oh and hi new obsession is trains, so I am beginning to explode trains.

He is my baby I don't care if I spoil him! ?As long as he is not bratty!?

  • Seriously if the outfit comes with a hair bow or hat, it's all over...

Now I just wish H would understand how important it is for Ella to have a peacoat with matching hat, and cute scarf. Sure, she'll use it once...but who cares...once is enough to get a picture! And that's all that matters!!!

  • Aw Pea...now I want match peacoats, hats, and coordinating scarfs for Jos, Nat and MEEEEEE!  Can you imagine the 3 of us matching like that?  Now if it could get cool enough to don that attire, it would be a nice change of pace, eh?

    Cha-cha-charge!!!!

  • just wait till that little girl grows up and starts raiding your closet for stuff to wear to school.

    yup.?

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • LOL @ Wan

I forgot all about it, but last winter my mom bought a peacoat and matching hat for Allison to wear this winter...I'm going to have to dig that out and if it's going to fit her. ****crossingmyfingers****

  • oh, and I'm dying to get these for A:

  • LOL Wan!  My sis and I were just laughing about how we used to raid our Dad's closet.  We also raided my Mom's but we got the best wear out of  an old Twill suit of my Dad's.  Ha!  Who would have thought.  I should try and find pics!  LOL!!!!
  • Nicole- definite must have!!! Ella has those in black:) Btw-they have those shoes in a leopard print at Nordstroms! And in a ballet slipper:)

  • I bought the leopard print mary janes (last year)at Children's Place online for $0.99! I bought them in every size they had left! LOL.
  • Totally agree with you all re: this obsession.

I am planning for her to wear a Princess costume for her 1st birthday. So far we've gone from Tinkerbell to Minnie Mouse attire and now I also found an actual princess dress at Babies R Us. The tinkerbell outfit did not fit so I returned it but now she has Minnie Mouse and Princess...I think I am keeping both for picture taking purposes & she already has a tiara from Disneyland to start off this collection which was actually given by a co worker who has 5 boys no girls. I also managed to find gold shoes for her...plus the 2 paris of a white and a black mary janes I found online. She just started barely walking but dang girl got shoes already....and I finally got those baby hair clips since she has enough hair to hold on to. Its all about getting a picture of it.

I am loving having a girl and boy-let's not get started with matching because that is a whole different can worms that I am trying not to open...heehee

  • Trust me, I know all about it. I have 1 in infant clothing, 1 in toddler and 1 in Junior sizes. I've got every dept covered and should own stock in Macy's by now.
  • Maybe you could use some of that shopping money to be the stay at home mom you claim you want to be.
