its wedensday. only wednesday. and while i WAS looking forward to the weekend, i now see that we are supposed to get a freaking nor'easter. in april. which isnt that all surprising, however, i am supposed to drive a couple of hours on friday. during said nor'easter. oh happy day.
while i complain, lest me remind myself that at least i no longer live in truckee ca, where they just got another record snow storm, totalling this seasons snow fall SO FAR at 689", which is 57 FEET.

That's just too much effin' snow. I can't comprehend it.
I work for a concession type company and one of our biggest client types are ski resorts. We got a call from Badger Pass yesterday that they really want to stay open another weekend but they got 10 foot of snow and are still trying to find the road. I didn't even know how to respond to that.
Why is it only Wednesday? And why does MTV need to air Teen Mom 2 at 10PM? I'm too old to stay up that late to watch. Okay, I'm outta questions for the moment.

That year was my 21st birthday and all my birthday plans got ruined.
Anyway, I like the winter. I like snow, but c'mon already. I want to be done.
Today has been awful so far. I'm exhausted, even though I didn't wake up until 8:30 because H shut the 6:30 alarm off before I noticed. I look like crap and have about a million things to do at work. Oh and H stole my headphones while he was working out last night and now I can't listen to pandora all day. And I rushed out the door, so I didn't pack my lunch or any snacks and I WANT MY G0D D@MN YOGURT!!!!!
On the plus side, I'm making H take me out to lunch and I got my spanx stuff yesterday and I am currently wearing a slip under my dress and feel absolutely amazing that I do not even have to think of fat rolls.

It's Wednesday. Only Wednesday. Yesterday I kept thinking it was Thursday. Total fail on my part.
It's currently raining cats and dogs outside. I don't want to be at work especially since Jeremy has today off since it's raining cats and dogs. I was insanely jealous until I remembered I have all next week off.
I scheduled a meeting for this afternoon and know I'm kicking myself to making it so late in the day.
Aaannnddd we went grocery shopping last night. It should be illegal for two, just two, people to spend that much money. Granted that was our big, monthly trip but still.
57 FEET?????? Makes it hard to complain about all the snow we got here.
Hump day is a good day. Means the weekend is in sight. And especially this week since Friday is my last day of work before baby....jfklasdfffsaew;jriewnjsvy I"m so excited. Unfortunately my desk looks like a tornado came through, so I've got a boatload of cleanup to do.
And, happy, happy, joy, joy...we finally found a couple of acceptable paint samples for the basement. The sheet rock has been up for weeks, but DH finally finished all the spackling & sanding last night and even got it all primed (Go DH!!). And I've just been waffling on what color I wanted to paint the room. Hopefully we'll get through it this weekend. Then, on to flooring!

Holy crap, Susie, that baby grew so fast!
Today I stayed home to work on stuff for my quals. I may also take advantage of being home and clean up, mainly the dishes and the mountain of unfolded laundry on our couch. Jeff's parents are coming this weekend and I am unbelievably stressed about it...and a little pissed that they didn't cancel and/or Jeff didn't insist on them canceling when I scheduled my quals for Monday and made it clear that I'd rather not have them here. Well, I'll get through it and hopefully they won't come back for a year or so.
WTF! It's only Wednesday. I woke up this morning and thought it was Thursday!
Yesterday Richard picked up my ring from the jewler. They replacaed the missing diamond and fixed one that was loose. They also did their semi-annual warranty service, so they have been redipped and clen. They look so shiny!
This morning Richard came home. I had to crack a joke because he was wearing a red shirt and khaki pants, so I asked him when he started working at Target, I thought it was hilarious, him not so much.
This afternoon there is an open house in San Jose for a school that I might apply too. I hope it turns out to be what I expected.
I will be stuck in meetings for most of this morning so I'll be back in the afternoon.
Wednesday blah....on the plus side pay day is tomorrow and I am so broke thank gosh. We have been trying to get a house so we have to pay all our bills early or on time even if it puts us in a financial bind for a week or so.
Last night my friend text me and asked if I wanted to go to dinner, and since I made my dad give me 15 dollars for driving him around yesterday since his truck was in the shop for a recall, I said yea i'll go to dinner. haha She had already made plans for my birthday, we are going to do this dinner cruise thing on town lake here in austin. It should be really fun, so I was making calls last night and everyone is really excited about it. Me too!!!
Today I have nothing to do, my roomate (above mentioned friend) is staying at her parents this entire week because they are on a cruise and she is watching their four dogs. So I will be sitting at home by myself, I kind of like the peace and quiet sometimes!

Yesterday we finally got DH's car back and ended up still having insurance money left over. Maybe we will do some of the body work after all or just put that towards a down payment on a new car. Sunday I lost a diamond from my e-ring while I was in the shower, but somehow managed to find it in the tub and need to take it to the jeweler to be fixed...I feel so naked without it!
I have been actively job hunting in our "new" town since we moved back in August and have not had any luck. I coached all winter and worked part time in a restaurant that I worked in through high school and on college breaks, but now skating is over and I have been super hard on myself. Well Monday I got a call from my boss, who is opening a new place, and he wants me to do all the hiring, training, and set up for it. I would basically be in charge of everything starting Monday through the opening and maybe beyond. Very excited, it is so not relevant to my schooling, but a challenge that I am up for.
Bad news yesterday too, my dad's heart output is still only at 30% which is where it was before his major bypass surgery at the end of November. His cardiologist upped his meds and suggested that he look into a pacemaker.

We're definitely getting close to hiring someone. Our workload is just overwhelming. AT least it means that business is good.

Shauni, that weather is nuts! I can't believe you're dealing with so much this year.
I live near Truckee (the county I work for includes Truckee), and it's been pretty crazy here, like you said. The county offices have closed so many times for snow this winter. The bummer is that I'm on 'loan' to the state, so no closures for me. ::Plays world's smallest violin::
