If you could live in any town in MA...
Re: If you could live in any town in MA...
One of our top priorities when we were looking for a house was being close to a highway. When we were in Maynard it was 10-15 minutes to 495 or Rt.2. That isn't too far, but it was still really annoying. Now we're only a couple minutes from 495 and it's great!
We are only a few minutes away from 95 now... DH doesn't work in Boston, so the easy access to the highway isn't something we need daily but it's nice. In a town like Millis, we could get a lot more house and land for our money in a top rated school system, so no compromises other than location. We're looking at an antique colonial in Foxboro on Saturday, and that's conveniently located, less expensive than other towns we're looking at, but the school systems aren't great.
I grew up in Groton. It's a beautiful town, but boring! I don't live there anymore, but besides the lack of things to do under the driving age, it wasn't so bad.
