House buying update
BANK ACCEPTED OUR OFFER!!!
Yes, I just went all CAPS because I'm that excited.
The bank actually moved back our closing date to June 3rd, which is great for us because our lease goes until the end of June. However, I was scheduled to run a half-marathon in Vermont that weekend. DH said, "you'll miss the race!"
Next step, home inspection within 10 days.

We used Chris Hanson from Amerispec for our inspection. I have used him twice in both homes that I have purchased. He'll go through everything with you.
If you have any questions on purchasing a foreclosure from a bank, let me know, we just went through it!

He was absolutely fantastic. As first time buyers...we had NO idea what we were looking at/for and he took his time and explained everything. The woman of the couple that we bought the house from was there the whole time and was so impressed that she used him to do their home inspection when they finally settled on their new home.
