CD Mamas, I need suggestions
1. What do use as a fabric softener?
2. Do you uuse dryer balls? If so what works best for you?
3. We need new inserts for our pocket dipes? I really wants Artsy Fartsy Foo Foos but they are NEVER in stock. What other hemp inserts do you like?

Re: CD Mamas, I need suggestions
We use ecover. Just don't use it on anything with PUL.
We use wool dryer balls. They cut down dry time a lot!
No help, as I love our afff! Have you tried emailing her? She might be able to do a 'custom' order for you! She's super sweet!
No fabric softener. I've had dermatitis before and I'm scared to take my chances with DD. Plus it tends to coat fibers, which is not what you would want with CDs. I would like to try dryer balls though.
ETA I've heard of using vinegar in the final rinse as a fabric softener, but never tried it. You would want to use baking soda as a prewash, I believe, to balance the ph.
I just got some ecover and used it last week. Seems like a nice thing to do once a month or so, but obviously I went 17 months without it just fine. I know GroVia says you can use it about 1x/month, and they don't recommend vinnegar and baking soda.
We use Nellie's PVC free dryer balls. I got them for Christmas and they're definitely showing wear already. They have absolutely cut down on dry time. We used to have to start the dryer again a second time to get eveything dry. Now it's always all dry in the first cycle.
Are you a fan on facebook for AFFF? I noticed that the last time she stocked at an atypical time and they stayed in stock for much longer than normal. I don't have any myself yet. I can't convince myself to spend the $.
1. Nothing with our diapers. With our other clothes, we do Downy, about 1.5 tsp in an HE washer. I tried using vinegar with the diapers, but it caused issues for us.
2. Nope.
3. I have some AFFF hemp, and I'm not totally sold on them. I have some hemp that came with a Happy Heiny and a Thirsties Duo pocket, and I'm just kinda "heh" about all of them.
