Some of you may already know this but I did not.
I just found out that if you accept the 0% finance (deferred) offer from Babies R Us you lose your points for that promotional period. I am calling today because I can barely find any info on it and we haven't gotten our first statement. A local nestie I know found out the hard way and had to put a request to be taken off the promotion.
Re: Moms to be - BRU CC fyi
Of course they'd do that! They are the cheapest bastards w/ their promotions, IMO. Their rewards program blows -- you earn points for $ certificates, but you can only use them during a particular one or two-week window -- and it's not like they'll send you $10 to spend in 1 period ... Noooo ... they send you a $5 coupon for one week, and a $5 coupon for the next week. And when you use them, they take money off of every item you buy (say you have $5 and 5 items all $2 apiece, they'll take $1 off each item -- so if you return one of them, you lose $1 of your reward).
BRU drives me bonkers. I think I'm spoiled w/ BBB, and now there's a Buy Buy Baby store right around the corner, so I go there b/c they're so much nicer w/ coupons, competitor coupons, and refunds.
Holy $hit I am clueless.
I feel bad for even convincing dh to get it now.
We actually do have a BBB I love that place, but I got sucked in during all the trade in events at BRU. We are registered at both.
Ugh

Very niiice
We really did well with all the trade ins but I am so frustrated that the cashier asking us a simple question about 0% would mess up our points.
Lots of people register at both, it's okay!
I just used BRU for registering and haven't shopped there since using the gift cards and then trading in our snap and go for a regular lightweight stroller. Their coupons/rewards that come in the mail are usually worthless to me for reasons similar to Rebecca. And I found a lot of things are in store only. I'm a huge online shopper!
Dup
Yeah as far as the two registries I feel okay with two, MIL wanted to know whey we didn't do Target though. LOL
I wish I would have posted for thoughts here about the CC though. A few of my local nesties really seemed to like the points program. Hmmm
i actually am in the minority b/c i always have such great experiences with BRU. i get tons of rewards coupons and always end up getting so much stuff for like no money. they just had 20 jars of her food (earths best) for $10 (which is SUPER cheap) so i bought 60 jars. LOL they also have her plum baby oatmeal 2 for $5 often.
everyone always seems to have return issues there as well. i never do.
james and i always laugh because we find ourselves pulling into their parking lot every damn saturday.
we don't have the cc for there though. it's through chase and we already have a chase so i didn't bother.

I will say I would make out great there when Xander was on baby food, I would always stock up then. I actually haven't had any issues making returns there. I was even able to return an unopen box of diapers without a receipt to go a size larger.
