TR: Tennis shoes/Crocs/rainboots

G needs a new pair of tennis shoes.  We went to Famous Footwear and Kohl's today.  Both had 'Cars' themed shoes and Kohl's were even on sale.  They just seemed SO big, not just in length, but width.  I was prepared to suck it up and buy them other than how big they seemed.  Has anyone bought 'Disney' shoes?  Do they run big?  I would rather just get a pair of Nike's, but thought I would make the little man happy.  I can't let him wear shoes his feet swim in no matter how cool he thinks they are.

Anyone buy Crocs for their LO?  Zulilly has them on sale and thought about ordering, but the odd sizing confused me.  He is about to outgrow an 8 so I am guessing and 8/9 would be the best size.

Has anyone bought their LO rainboots? Do they actually wear them? I thought this might be a good way to keep his tennis shoes from getting muddy.  Zulilly had some cute firefighter ones on sale.  G would love them - in fact saw them when I was looking.

Are they called Disney Fit or something like that? I got Nicholas some Toy Story ones at Kohl's last fall. They have one velcro strap and light up when he walks. They were a hair too big when he started wearing them, but didn't seem to bother him or make him walk funny. The body of the shoe and the soles are awesome and have held up amazingly well. The velcro was completely shot within 4 months, so even though they still fit great, he can't wear them away from home because they won't stay on. :(  I ended up replacing them with some plain old Pro Spirit tie shoes from Target and he loves them. Still kept the Disney ones to run outside since our yard is still a bit muddy in places.
  • We've never gotten Disney themed shoes.  We usually get atheltic type shoes from Target, and I don't let him look at them.  So far it's worked.

He has a pair of faux crocs, but I didn't buy them for him.

We just got rainboots for Will.  We bought them so they fit his feet, not with shoes on.  We weren't sure on how that worked for sure though.  haven't gotten to test them out yet-sick kid + no rain!
