Your rec's and advice about Brazil are great. I saved them for future reference. It will be a while before we go on vacation again but I always want to keep my ears open for good tips. I will definitely be asking you more questions in the future.

Edit because I can't read : No my Dad moved there a little while ago. My Stepmom and younger sisters are Brazilian but I am from DC as are both of my parents.
