Chandler Regional vs. Mercy Gilbert

I apologize if this has already been asked

My midwife only delivers at these 2 hospitals and I wanted opinions on these hospitals.

Thanks ladies! Smile

Re: Chandler Regional vs. Mercy Gilbert

  • I think someone asked a few weeks ago and I *think* they said Mercy gilbert...

    who is your MW?

  • Either Tiffany Jackson or Ramona Joseph from Boojum OBGYN

  • I love Ramona! I haven't met Tiffany yet though.

There are pros and cons to both hospitals. Mercy Gilbert is beautiful, has good food and spa treatments. Chandler Regional has a great NICU, if you end up needing one. If I were pregnant I'd prepare to deliver at Chandler Regional but hope I lasted long enough to deliver at Mercy Gilbert.

  • Hands down, Mercy Gilbert.  I delivered there in November and it was great- I can't think of anything I would complain about.  The rooms were huge and really nice, the food was good (DH even liked the cafeteria food), the free on-demand movies were great during labor and PP, the staff was super nice and helpful.  I was instructed to go to Chandler if I went in to labor before 32 weeks, but luckily didn't have to.

  • I can honestly tell you that you want Mercy Gilbert. Here's my reasons:

My friend has delivered twice at Chandler and their rooms for after delivery are TINY!! Like only comfortable for mama, baby and one more person.

I worked for the general contractor that built Mercy Gilbert and I was on that job. The rooms are amazing and the staff is wonderful. They have a comfortable place in the room for daddy to sleep and the rooms are huge.

  • I delivered my 2nd at Chandler Regional. Honestly, I can't say anything negative about it at all. I didn't have a problem with the size of the rooms or the nurses or the food. I was perfectly happy with everything. I didn't know until recently that so many people were "against" Chandler Regional.  Most important thing to me was my midwife and she delivered at CR and MG. CR just happened to be closer to me than MG so we chose that.
