Thanks, Jen!  Hmm, I've never been censored on TN before, that's funny. 

And Jen, congrats on your last day, and upcoming first day!  Super exciting.  Where are you staying up there?  Sending Don good vibes for the job.

My Mom has a townhouse that we're going to rent since her and her FI are closing an their house together on 4/8...perfect timing.  So I'll live in Richmond during the work week and drive down to Newport News to spend the weekends w/ Don.  He'll drive up to Richmond every once in a while too. 

That is perfect timing!  Yay, the universe is providing. 

I'm excited for your VCU team.  We randomly saw their last game while we were on vacation, because the only English channel we got besides CNN and BBC was ESPN America.  And we somehow caught it live.  Too exciting.

It's going to be tough because we'll be working with victims of domestice violence and sexual assault.  I'm such an emotional person so I'll need to be able to compose myself and not let my emotions show.  I also need to find a way to cope with hearing their stories, and not letting it get to me.

Oh, god, it's so hard.  Before the homeless shelter I did a clinical program where we represented victims of domestic violence in family law matters, and that was also so hard in terms of not taking it home. 

Those experiences actually, I think, have made me a much better lawyer, because I have some more life experience to relate to people with.
