Engraved Rings?

Did you/DH end up getting your wedding rings engraved?  If so, what do they say?

We did not, and surprisingly, Chris made a comment about it.  So I think for our one year anniversary, I will have his engraved (assuming I remember!).

Since mine are soldered together, there really isn't a place to engrave them.

I had DH's engraved as part of my "so you don't...." gifts. It was with a note that said, "so you never forget the date" and it says "A+L 10-23-10"

I actually forgot that I did it until about a month ago when I was looking at his ring and noticed it.

We just got our wedding date engraved on them. We were going to get "Team Alica 4 eva" on them, but we were too embarrassed to ask for it.

(Team Alica is our celebrity couple mash-up nickname. And yes, we totally refer to ourselves that way. And the 4eva is because we were obsessed with watching/making fun of Fear, the awesomely bad 90s movie with Marky Mark, Reese Witherspoon, and Alyssa Milano.  At one point, Marky Mark carves "Nicole 4e va" on his chest, and we always joked about getting tattoos that have the others name and 4 eva.)

Hahaha!  We often quote that same thing!  Awesomely bad is definitely a perfect description of that movie.  It comes on often, and we always seem to stop switching channels when we run across it...

DH's ring is tungsten carbide so he can't engrave it. My engagement ring and band were DH's grandmothers. So the wedding band has his grandparents initials and their wedding date. So DH had our initials and our engagement date engraved on the engagement ring.

My wedding band is too thin to engrave, and I couldn't really come up with anything clever to put in his, so we didn't engrave them.

My DH's ring is tungsten carbide but they were able engrave it because they had a special engraver thing. You could probably get it done if you looked into it more?

both of ours are engraved with iloveyoumore - its just something we say to each other and we blur all the words together like that too. DHs is ILOVEYOUMORE because they couldn't use the lowercase engraver on his ring since it's tungsten carbide. mine is all lowercase and in cursive, i love it, i look at it all the time.

I had C's ring engraved  - "OH HAPPY DAY 10-10-10"

Joe's says 10.10.10 and mine was too delicate to engrave, so I engraved my finger, also with 10.10.10

Mine isn't engraved, but Matt's is.  It says, "Forever my 2."  It is based on the concept that God will always be first in each of our lives, so the other takes place #2.  He often tells me that I will always be his "2" and I say the same, so it seemed appropriate that I engraved his ring with it.

Mine isn't engrave-able (channel set diamonds all the way around has a hollow inside of the ring), and DH didn't want his engraved...

Neither of us wanted them engraved in case we have to get them resized in the future.

Mike's says "Love You"

Mine says "To Pieces"

Our closing for everything; cards, messages, whatever is "Love you to pieces" so we split it so we need each other to finish the phrase.

Really?!?! Then maybe it was just the jeweler we purchased it from couldn't do it. Thanks for letting me know, I'll have to look into it, and then think of something clever to engrave in it.
