Do deer resistant plants/bushes exist?
We recently moved into a pretty rural area with a huge deer population. I have noticed that many of the neighbors either have little to no landscaping, or have wire fences around their beds. I'm not really a fan of either. Right now we have small bushes (I am not sure what they are but was told that deer do not like them) that were recently planted by the previous owner. I don't know if they will grow larger or not, seeing as I don't know what they are.
Is there something remotely attractive that we can plant that doesn't need to fenced in?

Yes there a ton of plants that the deer don't like to eat. Keep in mind it isn't "yes they will eat these" and "no they will never eat these." It's more of a scale of how much they like each plant. In a tough winter they may eat some of the plants they normally wouldn't. Use google to find deer resistant perennials in your zone. Conifers are typically recommended in areas with deer.
