best charities?
i won a contest and i wanted to give some of the award money (like $100ish) to a charity that helps environmental causes (specifically i'm thinking of either helping endangered wildlife, or charities that combat global warming in some way). i'm pretty uneducated about environmental activism so i have no clue about the best charities. any suggestions? thanks in advance.

WWF is a good one. I don't donate to them, but I have a good friend who does.
Where to start... there are so many good ones that need help!
I support the World Wildlife Fund and my local branch of the SPCA. Also check out the African Wildlife Foundation (supports protection and conservation of Africa's endangered species) and Farm Sanctuary (protection and lobbying for rights of farm animals, located in CA and NY).
And it's awesome that you are donating some of your winnings to a good cause!!
