Moving to Nashville :)!!

My wonderful husband and I are moving to Nashville in July 2011.  We are super excited!!

We are interested in renting a 2/3 bedroom condo/ apartment and would love any advice you may have for buildings with access to gym, walking distance to shops (and a pool would be great!!).

Thanks so much!

Re: Moving to Nashville :)!!

  • Walking is really hard in Nashville. I would go over to the forums on city-data.com/forums/nashville.

My suggestions would be Hillsboro Village or 12S.

  • you should check out the Gulch area. its all new and very young couple savvy!

  • I'm not sure if you have already moved but lenox village is very cute and at the entrance of the neighborhood are some very cute shops-nail salon, cupcake, menchie's yogurt, hair salon, dr.'s office and lots more. Snap fitness is across the street (24hr) or if you would like to join a boot camp that works out in the neighborhood check out Nikki G's (I love it!). It is in south nashville in a developing area- you can rent a 2-4 bedroom townhouse or even get an apt if you would rather. Very young family oriented-college graduate oriented area- you will always find people running or walking their dogs. Hope this helps! I know how it is to move to a new place- we have lots of friends in the area if you are interested in meeting new people so feel free to contact me!
  • Lenox Village is about 20-30 min from downtown but a cute little community with shops/restaurants/families.

The Gulch area has high rise condos that are a little more expensive for the size, but are awesome if you like the urban lifestyle and walking/biking/cabbing downtown.

Otherwise, check out around Vandy and Belmont, there's always places in walking distances of colleges.
