Re: PG Check In
Oh good I was going to ask a question and can put it here.
I have been getting random very tight stomach feelings in the last week. It's pretty uncomfortable and my stomache gets somewhat hard but I can't decide if I think it's Braxton Hicks or not because sometimes I almost don't even notice it. Thoughts? What did/do they feel like for you guys (if you have gotten them)? I sorta wondered if 24 weeks was a little early for that also.
Aside from that I'm doing well I had an extremely good outing at ON buying Jeans. Usually when I am not pregnant buying jeans can be pretty difficult for me and I avoid it for the most part but today went really well.
I overdid it yesterday on my girls day out. Went out to lunch, got a massage, walked around the outlet mall for about 3 hours, and then went out to dinner. I was so tired when I got home and it's still kicking my butt today. Near the end of shopping I started to get some light cramping so I knew I had done too much physical activity.
While at the outlet mall a couple of us got fitted for bras. They didn't do maternity fittings so I had them measure me for the size I am now. I knew the girls were bigger than my normal 34C so I expected to be a 34D but they measured/fitted me as a 34DD. Holy crap! I can't imagine these puppies getting any bigger.
Yesterday while getting a massage I felt 3 little bubbles on my inside about an inch below my belly button. I thought it might be gas but it wasn't. Then today Jay and I were laying in bed watching L&O and I felt a weak little poke from the inside in about the same spot as the bubbles. Of course it's early and may have been nothing but I think it was LO. I know it won't be regular for a while and I may not feel anything again for a while because it's still early but it was still exciting to finally (possibly) feel LO move.
And Jay surprised me. We were talking something about money this morning and he said he had looked at our budget and the new expense we will have at the end of the year. I was thinking he was talking about formula, diapers, etc. So I looked at him and asked what big expense and he said daycare. Nice to know he is looking into these things without me harrassing him about it.
Oh boy! Just wait till your milk comes in!
Pooks-Very possible that it is BH.
Not too much to report here. Got a massage yesterday, which was amazing. It was heaven being able to lay on my stomach (with their special maternity pillow thingy).
I don't think I've experienced any BHs yet but I wouldn't know if I did. I still question what heart burn feels like.
I'm definitely feeling huge these days. Still wishing my boobs would grow though
Going to see my primary care doc tomorrow about my rib pain. It's truly becoming unbearable.
Dani, I'm super jealous of your good prenatal massage! Mine did not have the special pillow so it was on my side - NOT relaxing. I felt gypped (how do you spell that).
Sorry about your rib pain, that's just ridiculous!
I feel massive. The heartburn is here about 80% of the time, and getting up and moving is harder everyday. But that's about it, so I feel pretty lucky. Things are finally coming together, I'm not freaking out quite as much about not feeling prepared. There's still things we dont have that I'd like to have before she arrives... but if it doesn't happen we have everything we need to survive. And knowing that has calmed me down a little bit.
I'm worried about getting pre-e, I'm starting to get the white/silver dots... and have been for awhile but now they're coming more often. I also have been gaining a lot more weight the past few weeks than I feel like I should have, I dont feel like I'm eating all that much more than previous trimesters, but the lbs are packing on. My BP hasn't been high (I ask everytime) nor has there been any protein in my urine, so I dunno. I have an appt on Thurs and I'm planning on talking to the OB about it then, and see what she says.
Pooks, it definitely could be BH, I started getting them around that time. I haven't noticed any the past few weeks, so who knows...

I'll be right there with ya!
FWIW I think you look fantastic. You're all belly. I, on the other hand, look like I'm having triplets. One in my belly and one in each butt cheek.
Thanks for weighing in ladies, I definitely have upped my water (I usally drink a ton but after thinking about it really have not as much lately, bad move on my part).
*Dani* I am so jealous you aren't familiar with HB, good for you. I was cocky for a while there and then suddenly it started hitting me. I sleep propped up a bit now.
*Mar* yay for being more comfortable and not feeling unprepared
I am back here in TN visiting for a week. Today we got to go in for an ultrasound with my mom, dad, stepmom, sister and cousin. At first pumpkin just sat there but eventually it perked and danced all over the place. I was so glad my dad could see it! He is not big for reactions but he seemed so tickled by everything. I took a video so Ben could see it.
13 weeks tomorrow so by some standards, I will be out of the first trimester. Most of the bad stuff from the 1st trimester is going away except for the sore boobs and being tired sometimes. I have been getting rounded ligament pain for a few weeks now but it comes and goes. I will officially be going public this week.
Dani, I can not believe you have never had heartburn. I had it pre-pregnancy and a bit in the beginning. I am sure it will come back.
Mar, I think you look great!

It's more that I'm just not sure if I've had it. I'm sure that I probably have but I just don't know if that's what I'm experiencing. I'll feel pains and ask "is this what heartburn feels like?"
im doing ok...starting to just hit the pregnancy wall though lol she is definitely running out of room in there, and makes it well known when im sitting in a way that squishes her too much. We just got her dresser yesterday, so it was super exciting to put a lot of her clothes away, and put the changing pad and some diapers out! We are both so excited and anxious for her to be here...it's so weird to say she'll be here next month!!! We go to our childbirth class this saturday!!!
***i just want to add in here a TMI warning for all you early PG ladies...varicose veins don't just happen on your legs and in the form of hemorrhoids...where there's increased blood flow, there are varicose veins...i started screaming in the shower after i felt something weird...poor DH had to come in and investigate the situation***
