Amway and Melaleuca

I have friends who have been telling me about their eco-friendly products.  I'm always hesitant when it comes to MLM companies.

Just wondering if anyone has used any "eco" products from either and what your opinions are.

If they are good products I may consider it.  Still on the fence though.

Re: Amway and Melaleuca

  • my friends sold Melaleuca . . . before getting into Herbalife. From what I remember it's only semi-eco friendly and kind of pricey.
  • I sold for a bit, very pricey stuff.  It is really hard to convince people to spend the money, especially now when the focus is on homemade eco friendly products.

  • I agree with the 1st responder about Melalueca. I really liked the products at first, but then realized they are pricey and not completely friendly.  I do just as well with my homemade products.

  • I have been with Melaleuca for over 3 years and love the products. Amway's products are not necessarily "eco friendly" they still use harsh ingredients in many of their products. Melaleuca's prices are also better because the products are more concentrated.
  • also - Melaleuca is not an MLM company...we don't sell the products we refer customers...there is on inventory, no home parties, no collecting money. Different business concept than Amway.  Amyway Is MLM so you do have to sell the products in order to make money.  Here is a website with more info on how safe Melaleuca's products are www.saferforyourhome.com
  • Thanks ladies for your input.  My cousin got me a few things from Melaleuca to try under her discount which didn't seem too pricey considering the concentration.  We'll see how it goes.

If not I'll just stick to my vinegar and water :)

So you don't make money off of people buying from you?  How are people "consultants" then?  or are there? It's just a referral program?  I'm just curious.  I think that makes me like them better if this is true.
