IHO our nesties going to DISNEY... :)

What is your favorite Disney movie and/or character?  You can pick more than one!

Have you been to Disney?  What is your favorite attraction or ride?

Feel free to add more.  I've been thinking about Disney this morning... can you tell? :P

Re: IHO our nesties going to DISNEY... :)

  • Hmmm...I'd have to think on my favorite Disney movie.  There are so many that I love.  I like all of the classics such as Cinderella, Bambi, Dumbo, Snow White, etc.  I used to have a soft spot for Eeyore.  My best friend from high school used to say that I reminded her of him.  Not that I was a downer like he was, just the way I would say things.  I had my picture taken with Tigger and Mickey Mouse when I went to Disney. :)

I have been only once.  In 10th grade for a band trip.  My favorite ride was Space Mountain.  The first roller coaster I've ever ridden and it helped me overcome my fear of them.  My 2nd favorite is Splash Mountain.

    Siggy coming soon....
  • My favorite is Sleeping Beauty... and I also love The Lion King!

When I went to Disney as a child, I thought the whole point was to meet the characters.  :)  Last year, we went to Magic Kingdom for one day and Splash Mountain was definitely the best!

  • Fave Disney movie is by far Cinderella.  A close second is Mary Poppins.

I have been to Disney 8 times in my 28 years.  My most recent trip was this past summer for my second anniversary.  This was my DH's first time ever going.  My favorite thrill ride is Space Mountain.  But my new favorite ride/attraction was Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin.  A ride and video game thing in one...we rode it 5 times!

  • My favorites are probably....Sleeping Beauty (I always wanted to be her!!!) and The Lion King....that movie was just amazing! I love the classics like Bambi, Dumbo, the Aristocats, Lady and The Tramp.....ahhhh!!!! There are so many!

As for characters, how hard is this!? I of course love Simba and Rafiki. Micky and Minnie for sure! I always liked Donald Duck too.... someone mentioned Tigger...I like a Tigger!

And....no....I have never been....so I am about to die on the inside for the next few days to pass so I can board that plane! I am so ready!

  • OMG...Lauren.....I totally forgot about your trip being so close!  I know that you are just about to go stir crazy for it to get  here!!  Take lots of cool pics for us to see ;)

  • My fave disney movies are The Lion King, Pirates Trilogy, Remember the Titans, Mulan, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lilo & Stitch..yeah i'm a disney movie fan lol.

My fave all time disney character is Stitch.

I've only been to Epcot (in 2000) and FINALLY got to go to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom for the first time last year. I cannot wait to go back! I really liked the safari and AK and the teacups and MK

I'll add on that i really want to go to DisneyWorld for my birthday next year but it's during the week :-(

  • I completely forgot about Mary Poppins being a Disney movie!  That has always been one of my favorite movies EVER.

  • What a great post!!!!

I love all Disney movies!!!  My favorites are Cinderella, the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzn, Hercules, Lady and the Tramp, Oliver and Company, the Jungle Book....I could go on and on

I can't pick a favorite character but I used to want to be Ariel from the Little Mermaid.

I have been three times.  I love all the rides- If I had to pick one I would probably say Tower of Terror at Universal (even though it isn't technically a Disney park).  I think my favorite park was animal kingdom, followed closely by magic kingdom and epcot.

I wish we could go to Disney!!!!!

  • I loved Beauty and The Beast as a kid because Belle was finally a Disney heroine who was brunette ;) I even saw the show on Broadway in NYC. :)

I went to Disney twice-once when I was really little and cannot remember and once when I was 10. The first time, my parents bought me a Minnie I kept for years. At 10, I got a Mickey to go with her :) I remember we stayed in the hotel where the monorail went through the building...

I was a total nerd, complete with a character autograph book. Minnie baseball cap and Tinkerbell barbie doll. I remember loving the Magic Kingdom and the Peter Pan ride where it was like you were flying on the ship. I did go on Splash Mountain after a lot of coaxing, but I am scared of open heights and I was never one for rollercoasters.

  • I like Beauty and the Beast, Oliver and Company, Little Mermaid...does anyone know if you can get Oliver and Company on DVD? It was one of my faves and never got it on VHS or DVD. I am going to google it now..

    I like the martians on Toy Story...Ariel b/c she's a redhead...

I went to Disney twice---once when I was 4 and then once when I was 10. I really liked the tea cups and dumbo...wasn't a huge fan of Epcot...we really want to go when DS gets older.

  • I'm a big disney fan. I don't really have a favorite because I like so many of them. To name a few, I like "The Lion King," "Beauty and the Beast," "Snow White," "Peter Pan," "Ratatouille," "The Little Mermaid," "Cinderella," etc. The list can go on and on.

When I went to Disney I liked Splash Mountain. It was a lot of fun.

I also wish that my husband and I could go to Disney.

  • My favorite movie is Alice in Wonderland.  Little Mermaid is a close second.

Favorite character is Goofy, but only because when we went when I was 6, Goofy attacked my Dad and gave him hugs and fake dog kisses.  It was pretty awesome.

I haven't been to Disney in 16 years.  My all time favorite ride was Captain Nemo and 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, which isn't even there anymore.  Boo.  I loved Space Mountain, and I loved most of Epcot.

I *think* that the Disney book I have been reading says that they "revamped" it a few years back, and it is now something like "Nemo and Friends Under the Sea"....or something.... we shall see I guess, but that ride was one of my husbands favorites too.... :)

  • The Lion King (and its my favorite of ALL movies!)

Been many many many times.  You can't go wrong w/ Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom.  Geniously designed roller coaster that can easily compete w/ the new roller coasters of today.  I also like Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller Coaster at MGM.  And the Tea Cups.

I still prefer the Universal Studios Parks over Disney.  I hate Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.  The rides are much better too...Dueling Dragons and Spiderman are AWESOME at Island's of Adventure and if you've never riden The Mummie ride....YOU MUST!

Sadly, 20,000 Leauges Under the Sea was paved over and it is now a Winnie the Pooh Playground.  I was so dissapointed to find that out when we went in June.
