Just came across this and thought I'd share :)

Now if only I could find something similar comparing Dyson, Miele and Oreck ;)

  • Orecks are easier to maintain than Dysons. I can tell you that much for sure.

    Dysons are great out of the box, but 5 years down the road, they are crappy. At least mine is. It was too costly to repair it, so we just got an Oreck instead. I'm pretty sure I know how to maintain an Oreck on my own, and if I need help, it's probably only $25 to get a pro to fix it. The Dyson costs $140 to fix.

  • hmm - I keep hearing how Dyson's aren't worth it & down the road - "go bad". I've had mine for 5+ years. I love it & it still works like the day that I got it. I have it professionally cleaned once/twice a year & that costs $25. They also do minor repairs under that fee. Never had an issue - vaccuum every single day,,,
