tea party

Does anyone have any recipes or ideas for throwing an adult tea party?

Re: tea party

  • I just threw one this weekend! I served the following:

tea sandwiches cut into different shapes with a cookie cutter

    1) turkey with creamcheese and cranberry sauce

    2) roasted red pepper hummus with sprouts

    3) egg salad

    4) sun dried tomato cream cheese and cucumber

I also served - scones, mini cupcakes, cheese/crackers, monkey bread, grapes, strawberries

Pink Lemonade and multiple options for teas.

    Good Luck!

  • thank you! If anyone has any recipes to share that would be great. Thank you again for the ideas.
  • I had a tea party for a bridal shower I hosted.  The invites encouraged people to wear "appropriate tea party attire - fancy hats and white gloves would be delightful!"  Almost everyone wore adorable hats (I got a couple extras at a local vintage store for people who didn't have one.)  The photos of the party were so cute - people tended to be silly and raise their pinkies and call each other "darling" because they were really getting into the theme.  We had champagne in addition to tea because my friends love their booze.  I also served mini sandwiches and homemade scones.
  • thank you for the ideas. It will be warm so hats are perfect.
