Library question

Do most public library have pretty current books?  I haven't been to a public one in FOREVER.

I started reading the Pretty Little Liar's books b/c I'm obsessed.  I borrowed #1 and finished it in like 2 days, but my friend is still reading #2, so I'd have to wait for her to finish it to get it...and honestly...I don't want to wait.  So if I can find it in a public library, I thought i"d go that route.

Anyone know?

I guess I could always log onto Bryant's library site and see if they have it since alumni have access too..

Re: Library question

  • they do but the newest, most popular ones are generally taken out and reserved with long waitlists.  definitely worth checking though.  many libraries today have online catalogs, so as long as you have a library card, you can search and reserve from your computer (and if there's a waitlist, they can tell you how long and notify you when it's your turn).  i love libraries :)
  • You can search on the library's website, and find out what books are at what library and if there is a wait for it.  You can request the book right online, and they will call you or email you when your book is ready to be picked up.

Not sure if you are looking in RI or CT, but here is the link for RI.

  • I am all about requesting books online! You go to your town library website and can look up books you want and add them to your request list. If your library doesn't have it, the next available copy will be sent to your library for you to pick up!

     THIS!  I loooooove the library!

  • It is possible Bryant will have it but not likely.  Most academic libraries do not have much selection when it comes to popular fiction.  You are better off going to a public library.

From my screen name you might be able to tell I love the library.  I finished my masters a few years ago in Library Science.
